The following BASIC PRINCIPLES are integrated in the production processes from the beginning and as a consequence are the part of all operational planning and long range plans as well as annual operating plans:

The products are produced under clean and hygienic conditions, are free of foreign matter, and are suitable for human consumption.
The products correspond at all times to the relevant statutory foodstuff requirements of European Community regulations.
No genetically modified raw materials are on the market or in the chain of production, i.e. the plants from which coffee (the coffee beans) and tea (tea leaves) have been harvested have been produced through conventional reproduction.
The products are not subject to any ionizing radiation and do not contain any known allergens.
Pathogenic micro-organisms are not present.
The packaging materials used for wrapping, i.e. wrapping materials coming into direct contact with the contents, meet the European Community Standards, including all requirements for consumer health protection, food safety and risk management.
